1991 Interval Gen 2 | Shromet

THE CUTTING EDGE TWICE FORGED

Return of the king.

While the MK1 interval was praised for its incredible driving dynamics, sales failed to materialize. Customers main complaint was impracticality, the car had a cramped interior, poor visibility and no power steering. The second gen was given a roomier interior with a small rear seat, a trunk, power steering, and more. These improvements combined to make a world class sports car, and the first mid-engined car to win American car of the year by Motortrend in 1993.

Motorsport Legend

The second generation Interval proved its mettle in the increasingly diverse endurance racing scene. The various iterations of the machine saw success in over 10 years of racing in GT1, GT2, and JGTC GT500 even as newer competition from the likes of Hirasawa, LMC, Rigore, and others joined the fray.
