Larger Than Life

As sportscars trended towards front-wheel drive platforms in the 1980s, Shromet engineers retooled the Mystic’s FWD platform to accommodate powerful engines and independent rear suspension. The result was the new MK2 Dragon. Offering a true grand tourer experience, superior interior volume worked in conjunction with high-performance driving characteristics. While the car received critical acclaim for its handling and technical achievements, it remained a rare sight on the roads as both practicality minded young buyers and more traditional sports car customers wished for a more focused vehicle.
